Success Story: New Britain's Spanish Speaking Center referred a single mom to HRA's Child Care program for help with her child. With child care in place, the mom concentrated on her own education beginning with ESL classes to improve her English language skills. She then went on to complete two certificate computer training courses and is currently working on obtaining her GED. Once she completes her GED, HRA's One Stop Center will help her find a living wage job. Back to Top |
